Except where noted, everything here applies to both Firefox 104 and the Firefox 102.2 ESR.

Bug Fixes

• Windows SSO wasn't working in iframes. This was fixed in bug 1778325.

Other Changes

• Total Cookie Protection was turned on for all versions of Firefox in bug 1776760. Total Cookie Protection is controlled by the Cookies policy.

• The security.insecure_field_warning.contextual.enabled was removed in bug 1773047. This change does not affect the Firefox 102 ESR.

Policies

• The AppVersionPin policy was added. This allows you to prevent Firefox from being updated beyond a specified version.

• The GoToIntranetSiteForSingleWordEntryInAddressBar policy was added. This policy forces direct intranet site navigation instead of searching when typing single word entries in the address bar.

Special Notes

This is the last major release of the Firefox 91 ESR. Firefox 91 ESR goes out of support on September 20, 2022. At that time Firefox 91 ESR users will be upgraded to the Firefox 102 ESR.
