I have a Gmail address. On testing the mail forwarders on my website emails sent from within Gmail itself reach two addresses on my website and are then forwarded to me at myaddress@gmail.com as normal. However if I generate the same emails in Thunderbird and send them (through Gmail) they disappear and are lost for ever. Other people can email me through my website and I can read and reply using Thunderbird but I can't write to myself ! How do I find the fault which may therefore be Tbird specific? My domain server is in the USA.

This might help people with an old version of Gmail but I can't work out how to access the solutions suggested because I don't see a screen resembling that shown in the video and the current screen looks nothing like it. But thanks for your help.

In the current version of Gmail this can be found under the Wheel symbol in the top right hand corner on your in-box page, then choose Settings and then the Accounts and Import tab.

I haven't worked out how to solve the rest of the problem but at least I think that I am now in the right place. Thanks Matt.
