Facebook does not show peoples 'faces' pictures. It is just blank. All my other browsers do show faces. This has happened on all updates of firefox for a long time. Any help welcome

Hi,

Please check if this happens in a new profile. If it's okay, you can later copy the needed personal data from the old profile. Firefox stores your personal data and settings in another location separate from its files/folder. A new profile would have the default Firefox settings (Tools (Alt + T) > Options, and about:config ), and usually would also be empty of any Extensions and themes (Appearance) in Tools > Add-ons) and their settings. Also, a new profile would have no previous stored website data/settings etc., (Tools > Clear Recent History).

You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:

  • Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
  • Go to the Media tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
  • Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
  • If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

Facebook may be storing images on other servers like sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net that may be hard to recognize in the image exceptions (Firefox/Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions).
