Is there a page somewhere that shows what the actual feature and performance changes are from one version of Firefox to another? I do not mean the minor little tweaks and fixes, but rather changes that would actually be visible to a user or have some sort of effect on performance or the rest o the user's environment.

Since version numbers no longer seem to mean anything, it seems more important to provide a clear comparison of one version against another so that one can decide whether to upgrade or stay with whatever version is currently in place.

If you would like to see all the changes in a version, you can read the release notes (Example, Firefox 11's release notes are at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/11.0/releasenotes/) you can also see the detailed list (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/11.0/releasenotes/buglist.html).

Note that with rapid release, once a version is released, the previous is no longer supported. So, you are now running a version with known security holes, which won't be fixed unless you upgrade to Firefox 11.

Thanks, but those lists are not really what I was looking for. Both the release notes and the bug list seem to focus more on developer oriented details than they do on answering the question of whether there is anything in the release that is a real plus or minus to the user. I am not suggesting that bug fixes are not a benefit. But, for example, neither list seems to state clearly - one way or the other - whether there has been a change in the interface, performance, or other similar attributes.

Well another thing you can do is read the suture release blog. It posts new features that have appeared in Firefox beta, aurora, nightly as well as the release channel in more end-user friendly terms http://blog.mozilla.com/futurereleases/
