Hi

I am currently using FF 42 as my browser and when I clicked the down arrow on my address bar it use to drop down and display 12 items from my recent sites.

But recently I noticed it displays only 6 items with a scrollbar to see the other 6 items. Still 12 items but now half and half.

I notice if I restart my browser it will sometimes fix this and put it back to drop down with 12 displayed.

Any ideas on how to fix this so it goes back to always displaying all 12 items as is a pain to always need to scroll to see it when my screen will fit all 12 without issue!

Thanks Dave

Thanks that seemed to get it back to normal!! :)

One note for other reads this requires you to install Stylish add on as the helpful response doesn't really say this so make sure to add STYLISH onto Firefox then in the new icon click it then click manage styles and then in the new window click WRITE NEW STYLE

Paste this code below into the main box give it a name and save. I assume the 60 can be adjusted to your needed height

Not sure why but the post is convertd from # to 1. so replace the 1. at the start of the code to a # poundsign hash mark. Or see the above posts link for the code if needed.

  1. PopupAutoCompleteRichResult .autocomplete-richlistbox {
 max-height: 60em !important;
 height: 60em !important;

}

You can alternatively add code to the userChrome.css file below the default @namespace line that needs to be at the start of userChrome.css.

The customization files userChrome.css (user interface) and userContent.css (websites) are located in the chrome folder in the Firefox profile folder.

  • Create the chrome folder (lowercase) in the <xxxxxxxx>.default profile folder if this folder doesn't exist
  • Use a plain text editor like Notepad to create a (new) userChrome.css file in the chrome folder (file name is case sensitive)
  • Paste the code in the userChrome.css file in the editor window
  • Make sure that the userChrome.css file starts with the default @namespace line
  • Make sure that you select "All files" and not "Text files" when you save the file via "Save file as" in the text editor as userChrome.css.
    Otherwise Windows may add a hidden .txt file extension and you end up with a not working userChrome.css.txt file

You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:
