Did like everything and ff still slow except for YT videos
Have just installed xp pro sp3 on my old system. Celeron 1.8, 4gb ram, ssd sata3 120gb, geforce 310. I have installed spybot, cc cleaner, latest nvidia drivers, Samsung ssd drivers/enabled raid, and turned off hardware acceleration.
Websites load and scroll slowly but YouTube videos work smoothly on 1080p full HD and full screen. What's up with that?

What Firefox are you using? Is it up to date?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
I did that and it feels the same. I have version 42.0
Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe web sites. Is the problem still there?
Yes, it's still slow Im talking about sites like Facebook, and huge portals with a lot of news, images, etc...
