when i try to open firefox I receive the message "Firefox is currently in offline mode and can't browse the Web" How do I get to online mode?

When in offline mode, first click the Firefox button, or if using the old style menus click the File menu, then click on the "Work Offline" entry to de-select it.

You don't need to open the home page to do that.

Are you saying that Firefox will not even start, if that is the case see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Firefox+will+not+start
