I can't access the add-ons from the tools menu on firefox 18 and all my add-ons, including adblock plus has disappeared. Now I'm been bombarded with ads. Help!
My add ons have disappeared and I can't access add ons and extensions from the tools menu in firefox 18. The add ons and extensions page won't load.

hello, reset firefox and run a full scan of your system with the security software that you have in place and different other tools like the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner afterwards.
It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.
New files will be created when required.

If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left side of the Search Bar (or click the "Find Updates" button in older Firefox versions) to check if there is a compatibility update available.
If this hasn't helped then also try to delete the addons.sqlite file.
