Migrating Thunderbird from one mac to another.
RE Migrating Thunderbird from one mac to another.
High Sierra / thunderbird 60.8.0
Export does not appear as an option in Tools.
In a previous question regarding this issue, an answer began with ;-
Moving Thunderbird Data to a New Computer
On your source computer
1. Connect a device for data transfer, either a local one such as a USB flash drive, or a remote storage drive.
2. Open the Help menu and select Troubleshooting Information.
3. Locate the "Profile Folder" entry, then click Show in Finder.
Your Thunderbird profile folder will open in Finder.
I selected 'Troubleshooting Information' in Thunderbird ‘Help’ but couldn’t find the button ‘Show in Finder’ in the page opened. Neither could I find it in the Thunderbird menu options.
Help appreciated.

I do not use MAC. Once you locate 'profile folder', to the right should be a button saying 'open folder' or similar words. That is to let you confirm exact location of the profile. Once done, exit thunderbird and copy the profile. I think you already have instructions on next steps.
Thanks for the reply. It pushed me in the right direction.
The problem is locating 'profile folder'.
The Instructions miss a vital step in the procedure. Having found the Troubleshooting Information one should then scroll down to the bottom of Application Basics to Profiles and click on 'about:profiles'. Here one finds the directory of the default profile. Here is where one can find the button for 'Show in Finder'. IE Two more steps are needed to find the 'Show in Finder' button.
Instructions are less than useful when important steps are missed out.
