When I any link on a page, the page successfully loads, except the address bar still displays the previous URL.

To elaborate - I am not referring to navigating frames. Any link on any page simply does not update the location/address bar URL after successfully loading.

I've also experienced this since early beta 4.

Perhaps there is an issue with my profiles folder, I really do not wish to clear it down.

Probably caused by an extension you have installed, like maybe AVG Safe Search?

Thanks for the response. I quite accidentally stumbled across a similar issue. Someone suggested turning off IE Tab which for now seems to have solved the problem.

I have this same problem. In fact when I click on a link and it makes a new tab, find that clicking on different tabs results in no change in the URL displayed. I don't have any of the above mentioned plug-ins. How can I tell what plug-in is causing the problem. It doesn't occur on the main page I open with Firefox 5. It only happens on subsequent windows. It seemed to start happening when I tried to use the tab groups. It doesn't seem to handle groups between windows.
