A front page video not playing, but does in other browsers SOLVED
I have just upgraded from Joomla 1.5 to 1.7; the current front page video will not play in Firefox, yet it DOES play in Chrome and IE. There are other videos in the same format which do play in all browsers. Front page is www.yaim.org - you will see the video. Sample of one that DOES play is here: http://www.yaim.org/web/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=219:july162011&catid=15&Itemid=356 Please help. Thank you, DJ

Did that video change or is it still the same video on that home page?
If it happens again then the first to try is to reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.
- Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
- Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)

I assume that the video on this page doesn't work for you:
Do you see the Flash player (e.g. if you right-click) or is there nothing at all?
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Actually, no that one played fine. It is the short video on the very front page (www.yaim.org). Since posting that question just earlier today, and doing absolutely nothing different, it is now working. It was only in Firefox and on other computers out of state (not just mine). It was strange, however, since it is working we'll leave well enough alone. I appreciate your answering and will print your instructions for future use. DJ

We did change the video but only after it had started working--like I said, it was really strange since (1) it was on multiple computers as opposed to just one; and (2) it worked in other browsers, just not Firefox. Thanks for your help--I appreciate it, DJ
