This article explains how you can install add-onsextensions on Firefox for Android from addons.mozilla.org/android or from within the Add-onsExtensions Manager in Firefox for Android.

How do I find and install add-onsextensions?

To browse all available Firefox for Android add-onsextensions, visit addons.mozilla.org/android. You can also discover add-onsextensions within the browser’s Add-onsExtensions Manager.

Here are the instructions for installing from the Add-onsExtensions Manager:

  1. Tap the menu button android menu icon
    Menu button - Template:menupreview
  2. Tap the IG extensions Add-onsIG extensions Extensions menu item.
  3. Tap on an add-onextension to learn more. To install it, tap on the + button.
  4. This will then show you the access that add-onextension requires.
    Tap Add to install the add-onextension.

  5. After installing the add-onextension, Firefox will give you the opportunity to enable it in private browsing. You can check mark Allow in private browsing now or enable it later (see below).

Some add-onsextensions may not be compatible with Firefox for Android.

How do I update, change options or remove add-onsextensions?

Update your add-onsextensions

When you update Firefox for Android, it will automatically update your add-onsextensions to compatible versions if they are available.

Temporary disable or remove an add-onextension

You can disable or remove add-onsextensions from the Add-onsExtensions Manager in Firefox for Android:

  1. Tap the menu button android menu icon
    Menu button - Template:menupreview
  2. Tap the IG extensions Add-onsIG extensions Extensions menu item.
  3. Under Enabled is a list of what add-onsextensions are currently active.
  4. Tap on the add-onextension you want to change.
    To disable: Toggle the Enabled slider to off.
    To uninstall: Tap the Remove button.

Here you can also view/edit Settings, Details and Permissions for the add-onextension.

Enable add-onsextensions in private browsing

Add-onsExtensions (migrated and installed) are disabled by default in private browsing. To change this setting:

  1. Tap the menu button android menu icon
    Menu button - Template:menupreview
  2. Tap the IG extensions Add-onsIG extensions Extensions menu item.
  3. Tap the add-onextension you want to change.
  4. Tap the slider next to Run in private browsing to turn it on or off.
