Some of my e-mails have the message in the main body deleted and replaced with a period. When I go to the Web Mail site, the message is still present on the server. So Thunderbird must be deleting the text and replacing it with a period during the download to my computer. How can I fix this.

Several members of this forum have reported similar problems and the cause has in many cases been found to be an antivirus program. Do you use one?

Yes, I use Vipre, but I have turned it off and it does not change anything concerning this problem.

Right click the folder and select Properties. Then Repair Folder. You might lose messages if the corruption is too bad. Read this article to help prevent in the future. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Keep_it_working_(Thunderbird)
