Firefox 43.0.2 Not Fully Clearing Cookies and History
I am running Win 7 64bit and using Firefox 43.0.2. I have my Firefox set to automatically clean history, cookies , cache etc etc upon closing Firefox. I have noticed that since I have upgraded I see in my CCleaner that I am having left over history and cookies from Firefox to clean out when they should have already been cleaned when I closed my browser. I expanded the cookies and history files in CCleaner and it appears they are being generated as thumbnails in a file like those below in attachments.
I remember I had a problem like this with my cache with an earlier version of Firefox and the solution was the about:config page browser.taskbar.lists.enabled = false which worked. I would like to know what setting in about:config I could use for my browser to fully clean my cookies and history.
Thanks you for any help.

The first screenshot shows the thumbnail cache that stores the images that you see in the tiles on the about:newtab page. These thumbnails are stored in the parent location of the disk cache (AppData\Local\). See the about:cache page for the location of the disk cache.
The second screenshot doesn't show any details about files and disk locations, so I can't check what is happening there.
Firefox stores the cookies in cookies.sqlite in the main profile folder (AppData\Roaming\)
Note that it is better to use built-in Firefox means to clear personal data instead of using external cleanup software because the latter always can have the risk of corrupting files and cause dataloss.

The second screenshot is an example of Internet Cookies that I see in CCleaner not being cleared by Firefox on closing.
