- Type about:config into the location bar and press enter
- Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
- Right-click on the preference keyword.URL and choose Reset, that will set it back to the default settings
is there a difference to that procedure if your using vista? i see what you recommended on my windows XL home computer but, not on my vista laptop. i did right click on every thing that had URL in it and got one of them to display reset and did that but nothing changed. Thanks
It is the same on all versions of Windows.
Try following the procedure in the How to fix preferences that won't save article, it may be a problem with the preferences file.
