While using Dext there is a visual of the uploaded pdf file. Now there is a notice that my Firefox settings need to be changed. Dext does not have instructions for Firefox and I have not yet located the spot in settings to adapt for this. Looking for directions.

I can't install extensions anymore, when clicking on "install" button, the waiting icon keeps moving forever. I'm using firefox 115.20.0 esr 64 bit. Also tried in troubleshooting mode, no change. I've tried several verified extensions, and many that used to work fine precedently.

Thunderbird Problem: For many years I have been using the Thunderbird mail client currently in ver. 128.7.0esr (32 bit) on S.O. Windows 10 Home Update 22H2 (OS Build 19045.5487), 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor. I have a couple of mail accounts, one of mine and one of my wife. My problem is that for a few days now (about 5 or 6 days) on the InBox folder of my account, only mine, I have not been able to compact the folder. When I try to compact it, the response message is always the following: <The Inbox folder on "my_account_name@gmail.com" cannot be compacted because it is not possible to write to it. Verify that you have enough disk space and have write privileges, then try again> On my disk the available space is 121 Gb on C: where the program with the InBox folders resides and 266 Gb where the data stored in custom folders resides. The write privileges are always the same, never changed, of Administrator. I have already tried the path of "repairing the folder" and re-indexing the folder, but without success. Al tentativo di compattarla il messaggio di risposta è sempre il seguente: <La cartella Posta in arrivo su "nome_mio_account@gmail,com" non può essere compattata in quanto non è possibile scriverci. Verificare di avere spazio su disco sufficiente e avere privilegi di scrittura, quindi riprovare> Sul mio disco lo spazio disponibile è di 121 Gb su C: dove risiede il programma con le cartelle InBox e di 266 Gb dove risiedono i dati archiviati in cartelle personalizzate. I privilegi di scrittura sono sempre quelli, mai cambiati, di Amministratore. Ho già tentato la strada della "riparazione della cartella" e della re-indicizzazione della cartella, ma senza successo. I have used Thunderbird for many years and currently with 4 hotmail and 3 gmail accounts AND...randomly some accounts I have to the enter the Inbox ONLY when i check another link on the account such as "draft" "sent" or other before i am let into INBOX ?? WHY? I have not noticed whether its gmail or hotmail accounts at fault ??

As of February 13, 2025 the front page of the Washington Post website does not load correctly in Firefox 115.20.0esr in Mac OS 10.13.6. The problem persists even in safe mode. Thank you.

When I create a calendar event, it will not show up in the calendar view (Month), even after trying several times. What I found is, it will only show up on the calendar if I uncheck the Notify Attendees box at the bottom, which is by default always checked. After I uncheck the Notify attendees box on an event, that event, and each successive event will then show up on the calendar, regardless if I have the Notify attendees box checked or unchecked. I looked to see if I can uncheck this box in Settings, but do not see where this can be done.

Is there a way to have the Notify attendees box unchecked by default when I create a new calendar event?

I've had thunderbird for years, for the task component. It's wonderful. I got a new computer, but now have lost all my recurring tasks. I saved the profile on our network but cannot locate where to put in the path so import the task file into thunderbird. I did not find it in the community forums; so I must not be asking the question right. Any assistance is helpful.

Hi I am having an issue with getting new contacts to add to a email group. It was working just fine and then, I couldn't add anymore new contacts. What is going on and how do I fix it? Sue

I have two profiles in my Thunderbird account. I want to create desktop shortcut for each profile. That way I can use the shortcut to get my email. On on profile I just want it to go straight to that account without asking for a password. On the other one I want it to ask me for a password. Is that possible and if so how can I do that?

I'm searching for a possiblity to assign a task to a user, like it is possible for an event. According to RFC 5545 this should be possible for VTODO however in the GUI the "Attendee" field is missing. Is this an intended situation?

I can't find any reference to this and have stopped using one of my email accounts...and need to have outbound invites go through another one. I thought changing the "default" email address (which I've done successfully I believe) would do the trick but it doesn't. Thoughts?
