Hello,

We are running Roaming Profiles from our Active Directory architecture. It seems that a lot of files happen to have too long path&filename for example :

\\Serverinfo\Username\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\FirefoxUserProfile\storage\default\moz-extension+++f9efba58-d1ae-40d1-993c-f56654dc34c0^userContextId=4294967295\idb\{d1ae6e36-40f7-4f62-88b9...

Do you have any idea to configure Mozilla so we keep it able to handle these filename length ?

We cant use wildcard in exclusions so we cant exclude whats in a subfolder of each profile. It's not supported by ActiveDirectory GPO.

Hope it was understandable please let me know if you need further details.

Regards, Yannick GANTOU

Using Windows 11, Bitdefender for virus protection. Everything was excellent for months and then started having trouble doing any search using Firefox. For awhile rebooting 1-3 times and it would work. In the last week a dozen reboots doesn't work. Maybe later in day rebooting a couple of times I get access. Using DuckDuckgo for search. Tried using other search without success, which seems to point more to Firefox. If go to Bing or other browsers, work find. Tax season and need access. Downloaded Brave to get by for now.

Something is generating "for you" recommendations, with what looks like an AI symbol. I don't want them, and don't know how to disable them. This happens daily when reading the Washington Post, and on many other websites when I use Firefox.

Hi,

Firefox latest version, windows 10 up to date.

I experience various issues with Google services:

  • reCaptcha doesn't work: the challenge doesn't appear, or if by chance it does, it just runs forever.
  • Opening pages from the Google search page frequently fails. The page just stops loading on a white page. Reloading multiple times, or removing the Google search encapsulation from the url bar, solves the issue.
  • Accessing files on Drive frequently fails.

Evertyhing works fine 1. with any other browser; 2. with Firefox on a another PC.

I've tried, of course, changing all possible security/tracking options, disabling add-ons, &c, to no avail. I've tried to uninstall/reinstall Firefox - I need what is stored in my profile, so I copied back all of my profile files in the new profile folder. Same issue. I've tried using the newly installed default profile - same issue.

As stated, no issue at all with any other web browser. Can you help me diagnose?

Thank you!
