I opened Youtube one day, on Linux Mint, and i couldnt hearanything. I had a music app in the background which was playing perfectly, and i hadnt changed anything. I had to put the HTML5 player volume up to the max and the system volume, and i could fainting hear it. Nothing i tryed worked from other Firefox threads (mostly yhey were for Windows, or Flash, or both) so please help me.

Check to see if the master volume settings are changed. I found this as a reference http://unix.stackexchange.com/questio.../set-volume-from-terminal

However also see that the volume can be muted in specific tabs, make sure that the video player in the website page is also not on low. Mute sound in Firefox tabs
