Grazie

For fifteen days, Thunderbird has suddenly stopped sending emails from my @ tin.it account without changing any settings. When I try to send an email the following error message appears: An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server replied: authentication required for mail submission. Check your email address in your account settings and try again. I state that I am not very experienced. I checked and it seems to me that the server configuration parameters correspond to those indicated in the table shown [https://assistenzatecnica.tim.it/at/portals/assistenzatecnica.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=MailBook&radice=consumer_root&nodeId=/AT_REPOSITORY/630001 Could you help me please? Thank you
Their instructions are a bit vague, confusing authentication with connection security, but I think the correct settings are: outgoing server mail.tin.it on port 587, connection security = none, authentication = password, transmitted insecurely, User Name = email address. Open Tools/Account Settings, select Outgoing Server (SMTP) at the bottom of the left pane, then Edit the TIN server with the suggested settings.
