Month-old calendar notifications / read only preference disappears at restart
In Thunderbird 91.0.2 (32-bit), some imported calendars keep popping up month-old notifications every time they are synchronized. That can be avoided by setting them read only, but that preference disappears when restarting Thunderbird. Any neat solutions to either avoid month-old calendar notifications or permanently setting calendars as read only?

As an additional clarification: the "dismiss all" button doesn't work at all for the month-old notifications!
I think first you need to say how you imported them... It sounds to me like they are already stored in read only files somewhere.
After the recent Thunderbird update 91.0.2 I had to import the calendars again. I imported them like this:
Create new calendar -> On the Network -> my Gmail username & location: https://apidata.googleusercontent.com/caldav/v2/<CALENDAR_ID>/events -> Subscribe
Try it again the way it is meant to be done. I tried putting in a URL, but that is not the new approach and as you have found does not work at all really.
Just put in your user name at google and click Find calendars. No URL the @gmail in your address is used to setup the oAuth authentication process that auto discovers the calendars. If you have not already done so converting your @gmail accounts to use oAuth as authentication method is probably a good idea.
It will return a dialog with your Google calendar for you to select.
Note while I was getting my hand held in how to use this. I learned that you have to enable your calendars in Google. I was missing some and had to have it pointed out there was a setting in Google calendars. If you find some missing I will have to hunt through some old mail and try and find it.
