The first image speaks for itself. When I want to change the way this setting is set in a Facebook group, when Firefox is full screen, the associated dialog is so placed and/or sized on the screen that it is partially truncated on the left by the left side of the display. I just checked in MS Edge and it displays normally there with full screen display. It displays normally in Firefox when I Restore Down. So this one at least does seem to be specific to Firefox.

I have a second full screen display issue that may be related, but this one isn't just Firefox; Ms Edge also shows it, and other applications also behave similarly: the right hand scroll bar disappears in full screen (as does the applicaion menu control)! I had some trouble taking a pair of images to illustrate this, using Snipping Tool. The second image, when Firefox is set to restore Down, shows the scroll bar and application menu control, which is what I see. The third image was more tricky to take because the first time I tried, the screen capture included a scroll bar and application menu control even though they were not visible on screen. I had to redo it and be very careful not to let the right hand side of the selection drift off the right hand side of the display.

It seems like the full screen display is just a little "larger" than the physical display. I have tried one or two other screen resolution settings and that has not helped. My best guess is that it's a monitor settings problem, but I've also fiddled with the monitor settings, again with no success. And even if a monitor setting explains the pervasive right hand side issue, it doesn't explain the Facebook dialogue issue, which does appear to be Firefox-specific.

So my current workaround is just not to have anything full screen :(

Ever since the new version of Thunderbird I cannot send emails. I can receive them but not send them. I have found that if I temporarily disconnect my VPN, it sends OK. Your failure to provide software that can co-exist with a VPN without crapping itself is a poor advertisement for your product. I have read some of the millions of posts about this particular bug and your answers seem smug and lazy without addressing the problem.

    Apologies if I've missed something, but I can't find an answer anywhere. I've got a fresh install of Firefox version 133 running on Windows 10, and I can't seem to install any add-ons. When I click the install button from the add-on's page, it just sits there with the loading animation and seemingly does nothing for several minutes. Attempting to right-click on the download button, "save link as", and hitting "install add-on from file" using that saved link as another user suggested from a similar problem does nothing at all; there's no feedback whatsoever.
    The add-on I've been trying to install is U-Block Origin, but I've tried this with other add-ons to the same results. The only other thing I've tried is installing one of the recommended add-ons from the add-on page directly, Privacy Badger specifically. This causes an actual window to pop up telling me Firefox is verifying the add-on, but nothing happens past this point. It just sits there, eternally attempting to verify the add-on with no progress ever made, and no error message ever spitting out.
    I haven't found anyone else with this exact problem. Hopefully I'm missing something obvious and I can feel really silly about the whole thing soon. Thanks much!

I have 4 rows of shortcuts that are being changed every time I visit a new site. How can I lock them in so they won't be changed and to keep them where I arrange them?

My ISP has changed the server settings but when I change the IMAP server setting Thunderbird asks me to restart and then restores the original setting. I want to keep my othr setgs and address books.

How do I fix this? I am using Thunderbird portable 1.8.2.0 and this is all in my Dropbox

Hello I do not know what I have done, or how I have managed to do this, but EVERY TIME I start up my Firefox it asks me for my Windows sign-in login details.

I have gone through as many pages within the Firefox settings will allow, and I am unable to find anything that indicates how to turn this option off.

All I am wanting to do is press the Firefox icon, and for Firefox to start up, WITHOUT Firefox asking me for my Windows security login details.

Anybody have an answer for this issue please? I'll GREATLY appreciate any fix recommended to me for this issue.

I have a huge problem with Shortcuts not syncing in the main page. I have my shortcuts organized and pinned how I like it but every single time I sync new machine or mobile, the shortcuts are not being synced and they are completely out of place and sometimes gone on my main machine. This cannot be like that and should be properly synced.

Granted, yes, "human error". But even so, I cannot even imagine what kind of dexterity I would have needed to accidentally change my language settings from English to I'm not sure which language, I thought Thai at first but no, who knows, maybe Cambodian?

During a thunderstorm and subsequent power cut my desktop (W10) would not reboot. Nothing just a black screen. My builder looked at it for two days and determined that it was the processor that had failed. I purchased a high spec refurbished desktop (W11) which I am finding a shock at 74, nearly 75. I have the SSD from the old computer in a USB connected caddy. FF is installed on both computers. How can I get the Bookmarks from old to new ?

There are times where I like having the title bar appear on my laptop display of a webpage. Other times I want to take a screenshot of selected page content, and the title bar just obstructs ability to fit the bottom line or two of the page content I want to screenshot. Yes i know I can reduce the zoom size of the page display itself, but sometimes (often) due to the page layout's CSS, this results in both too-small type for me to comfortably read AND even with the text reflow, it's not enough to reveal the extra bottom of page content I am trying to capture.

The Firefox UI controls are very robust and well-appreciated how much customization can be had, but still, the number of steps required to go in and turn Title Bar off is just way too many for quick and efficient workflow -- especially when after getting the screenshot I want, I will want to just turn Title-Bar back on. Surely there must be a way to create an icon option that lives next to Home, Bookmarks, Downloads, Refresh whose function is to actuate a quick 1/2 second toggle off, then a quick toggle back on?

I have a problem with FF browser on my PC for quite some time. It seems that every time I try searching for anything at all, there always appear a "google location bar", which obstructs the first search result completely - more in the attachment.

I've tried turning off all of the add-ons I have, tried searching for it in console, tried blocking it - didn't help.

It doesn't show in other browsers.

I am trying to fix Firefox performance issues. I recently changed to Firefox to escape forced ads on chrome and the lost support for the Ublock origin. But I am having difficulty performing tasks and pages That I used to be able to do on Chrome with no difficulty.

When I open multiple tabs at once the tabs freeze up when trying to load and already opened tabs freeze and anything streaming also freeze. It takes tons of time to load multiple tabs and even sometimes single tabs depending on the website. This never happened with Chrome and I understand Firefox is not as refined as Chrome and is far younger than Chrome is but I feel like it shouldn't be this bad. Is there any settings maybe or maybe settings/preferences in the config area area that might help with faster performance and increased multitasking ability in the Firefox browser?

I have tried

1. Updating Firefox - I am running the most up to date version 2. Updating Graphics Drivers- I am running the most up to date drivers(Updated yesterday 11/17/2024 3. Deleting Cache/History/Logs 4. removed or disables unneeded extensions that I don't use every day and only activate when I need them.

None of this has worked to increase performance.

P.S. I would also like to fix the problem where firefox is using too much RAM if possible.

Can anyone help me Please? And if possible please give as many solutions as you can find or know so I can implement them quickly.

Hello, My Firefox on Android (latest version) is missing the "always" setting in "open links in native apps". It is also clear to me that this version doesn't even ask me to open links in native apps (that is the current setting). I would like to understand if this is a bug or something that has changed in one of the releases and the help pages aren't yet updated. Thanks
