I've had to roll back to Ver 28. Ver 29 will not load my Albums from Slickpic. Some load others just hang on the timer. This also happened when running Aurora a few months ago after an update. I had to load the standard Firefox. I've cleared the cache with no affect. This does nor affect IE or Chrome. Thanks.

Could you give a link to a page that has this issue, and describe the steps that work in Firefox 28 but fail in Firefox 29? (Assuming a login isn't required...)

This is a link to a picture in Album 23, an album that won't load. http://slickpic.us/439552xIMY

This is the link to the album in the address bar but I'm not sure if it will work, It doesn't give an account? Possibly because I'm already logged in with a password, yes?

Not sure how to provide an album link for public view. Update, I think the last two edits provided the links required :-)

Please let me know if you can view them as others using Firefox 29 and eBay may not be able to view. Bob.

I can view the link just fine. It's available for public view.

It might be relevant user.js is active on Firefox

The user.js file is only present if you or other software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be there.

You can delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in the current Firefox release. You can get to the profile folder below:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory > Show Folder

or

  • Go to about:support and click Show Folder next to Profile Directory.

Just updated to 29 and removed prefs.js and user.js Restarted Firefox but still can't access Album 323, strange.

I've just uploaded to the album OK but can't view it, timer shows on loading album.

It loads for me.

While loading, the status line in the lower left keeps flashing different addresses, I think I saw the Akamai CDN in there, maybe another.

Hmm, puzzling.

I use the NoScript extension. If I do not allow the slickpic domains that contain "cdn" then the slide viewer is broken and images do not load. Some other users recently have found that servers with cdn in the name were blocked. Unfortunately I can't recall how that was happening.

If it's caused by an extension, then the images should load in Firefox's Safe Mode. That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode.

You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using

Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled (Flash and other plugins still run)

In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Reset)

Any difference?

more options

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.

It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.
