Can Firefox be updated so that the URL bar autocompletes both the domain as well as the port number?

I do a lot of localhost development, so they are URLs such as dev.localhost:8000 - The problem is, when I type 'dev.local' in to the URL bar, it only auto-completes to the end of 'localhost' and doesn't add the port that I always use for that DNS entry. Any workarounds for this?

Chrome does this. It would be nice if Firefox did as well.
