A and symbol over it--lots of them--appear in my incoming mail

Tried to copy and paste examples but couldn't locate paste on this page. When incoming mail arrives THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE DOCUMENT\email are the alphabet A with a line above it. If I forward the incoming message, the symbols multiply. HELP!!! How do I get rid of this. Already read one example that said chance incoming code to Unicode. That didn't help.
