Something not working on two different browsers sounds like something they both have in common, like a security application that doesn't like what you are trying to download.

Just saying "PCH games" doesn't tell us much as to what the source of this problem might be.

It's from publishers clearing house,It all of a sudden stopped working on firefox so I did the usual, clean and remove cookies and history and that didn't work so I tried google chrome and it worked ok for a while then that stopped and I have changed nothing. As it is only one site I have a problem with. Also using windows essentials.

Have you tried getting support from PCH?

I would recommend trying "the source" for those games considering that you're having the same or a similar problem with both Firefox and with Chrome. Do you have the same problem in IE, too?

My guess would be a security application is blocking the downloading.

It is possible that anti-virus software is corrupting downloaded files or is interfering otherwise.

Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.
