Importing a csv calendar into Lightning messes up the imported data
I have a set of events that repeat over time, but in a way that can not be represented with the repeat options available in Lightning, so I thought I could create a csv file and import it.
Unfortunately this failed in 2 major ways: 1. The descriptions of the events are in Greek and when imported they become jiberish. 2. The dates of the events change and the events become "all day events" (no starting or ending time)
Note: I am posting my question here because importing a calendar seems like a tool someone might use migrating to Thunderbird and not in the way I have in mind.
I tried several encodings, in order to solve the 1st problem with out success. Using UTF-8 without BOM allows the file to be imported, but the problem remains. In any other format the import fails.
I tried to solve the second problem by using a 4digit year in the date, but even then the problem remains. With a 2digit year the date is changed to the 1900s. In the calendar tab the date appears in the 2000s (i.e. 1/8/2018=Aug 1, 2018), but in the Edit event window is different (1/8/1918=Aug 1, 1918) (see attached screenshot) with a 4digit year the date changes in a way I do not understand (30/8/2018=Aug 30, 2018 becomes 8/6/2020=June 8, 2020)
To simplify thing I tried exporting the 2 events already in Lightning into a csv file and re-importing them. Both problems ocurred as shown in the attached screenshot.

Here is the screenshot, which did not make it in the original post. P.S.: I tried, but the upload took for ever.
