Firefox 4.0 is not saving my new bookmarks if I click on the X to close... but will save it if i use Firefox / Exit
Firefox 4.0 is not saving my new bookmarks if I click on the X, at the top-right corner, to close firefox at the end of my sessions... BUT it is saving it when i click on Firefox / Exit ... the problem is I been using the X to close it since forever and I always forget to Firefox / Exit rather... really annoying problem... I tried to delete the places.sqlite and it is not in read only... without success... still the same problem... Deleting the places.sqlite only did one thing at all, deleting my favicons over the bookmarks saved... Any other suggestion that could fix this problem ? I'm under windows 7 64-bit if this can help

If Firefox (File) > Exit to close Firefox works then why don't you use it?
Did you check that Firefox closes properly if you use the close X?
See "Hang at exit":
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Simply because I don't think about using this option that takes more time to close... I always close ALL my windows with the X.
Firefox doesn't hang at exit also...
Using Firefox / Exit doesn't always save the bookmarks also... let's say there is 80% chances it will but not always... I noticed the first time I open firefox after booting the computer... Bookmarks won't be saved... But if I close firefox and re-open it, then it might save it... 50% guess...
I tried the safe mode, but since its closing firefox and re-open it... new saved bookmarks sometimes work, sometimes don't... it's pretty unstable...
Hopefully there is a solution to this problem in a near update, annoying... else I will simply reverse to firefox 3.6.16
too bad... Firefox 5.0 is out and I am back on Firefox 3, really annoying problem...
