Unable to transfer addressbooks & profile

Got a new laptop. Transferring my old profile is huge pain - still doesn't work. Copied old profile to appdata>roaming>thunderbird>profiles. Did the thunderbird.exe -p thing. No luck getting the addressbooks to work. Tried importing & exporting addressbooks & autofill doesn't work.

Suggestions will be appreciated. If a Thunderbird/Mozilla employee is reading this, I'm ready to return to Outlook after 15 years.

The simplest way is to start Thunderbird and click tools>import and import the profile from there. That would include the addressbooks.
