not displaying flash
I spent 90 minutes in live chat yesterday without a resolution or follow up.
Suddenly Firefox can not display video, animation, flash, etc. It replaces this with white space (no errors, no red X).
I have uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled with no success. I have re-downloaded flash 10.1 with no success. Content settings are set to load images automatically. Clearing cache/history does not help.
This issue happens ONLY in Firefox. Chrome, Opera etc perform as normal.
This is a Windows 7, 64-bit OS.

By the way, there's a new Flash player release. Download from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Here's the Adobe security advisory for it: http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb11-12.html
I had this problem - now it looks like it is fixed I just followed instructions from adobe web site: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html#main_Download_the_Adobe_Flash_Player_uninstaller I have uninstalled flash and removed all folders which were advised by adobe, after this i have reset firefox to its defaults settings and after all of this i have restarded my compueter and then i have removed all flash, shockwave and other adobe plugins using cc cleaner plus just in case i have removed all registry entries - using cc cleaner and all temp files - restarted computer again and - just downloaded latest flash from adobe web site. But before instralation i just closed firefox and started instalation from downloads folder. After all of this i have flash working and displaying all flash based content.
Thanks for proposing a solution.

Note at the current date Firefox especially firefox on Windows is experiencing problems with Flash Player. In many cases users have had to downgrade from Flash Player 11.3 to the secure Flashplayer 10.3 or he not secure Flash 11.2.
Developers from Flash & Firefox have been cooperating in looking for solutions, and at the time of this post a new release has been made by Adobe that it is hoped will resolve some issues. The release may not even be seen yet on all Adobe pages, and and we are watching for reports from those who try it. It is available from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ (Adobe Flash Player 11.3.300.262 for Firefox)
