Address bar and other tabs dont hide in full screen mode
just updated to 38.0.1, running OSX 10.9.5 (problem was apparent before update) Ive restarted with add-ons disabled and reset to default, etc. nothing has helped. If i right click on the bar, i don't have the option to hide the address bar, or tabs. Nor do i have that option (apart from the bookmarks toolbar) when in normal viewing mode. Any help would be great...never had this issue with ff that i can remember.

In full screen mode, the address bar and tabs auto-hide, so they should disappear in a few seconds if your mouse is not over them. I tested this in Windows, and don't have access to a Mac, but I assume full screen mode works the same on both OSes.
Modified
Does it help to toggle browser.fullscreen.autohide to true on the about:config page if the current value is false.
Try to remove the Firefox plist file (org.mozilla.firefox.plist).

Go to "~/Library/Preferences" and remove the plist file for Firefox (org.mozilla.firefox.plist).
Thank you tjohnson, that is the way it should function. But hasn't for some time now.
cor-el, Great idea...I did try both of your suggestions to no avail. The configurations file was set to true...but tried toggling off, restart, toggle back on...but that didn't work either.
Thank you though...
You are sure that you are in full screen mode (press Command+Shift+F to toggle)?
Try to rename (or delete) the xulstore.json file in the Firefox profile folder with Firefox closed.
You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)

Im thinking its a OSX issue?? It's the same in all my other browsers. Chrome, Safari. (sorry FF, your still my favorite!!) The address/tabs stay visible when in full screen.
Yes, definitely in full screen mode...and deleting the xulstore.json file did not do the trick. But thank you!
Seems odd that there is no 'hide address bar' or 'hide tabs' toggle/option under view.
