While browsing through my history I hit the "forget this site" and it cleared all my history for some reason. Is there anyway to get it back or view it? I checked the places.sqlite file but it doesn't seem to show it although the table ID's are very high sonInassume it may still be possible to find it with a third party tool/application?

You can remove all stored data from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry (Show All History or History sidebar).

That will remove everything from that server like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be careful if you need to keep passwords or other data from that site and you can't recover from that unless you have a backup of the affected files.

It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.

That explains it. I used that by mistake thinking it meant just that particular link and it removed all links associated with that (YouTube) So there aren't any forensic tools that could possibly recover such data from the SQLite database?

Probably not.

You can try to restore the places.sqlite file to a previous version, but that can lead to other dataloss, so make sure to backup your bookmarks to an HTML file before trying that.

The video I'm trying to recall wasn't bookmarked and I believe only Windows 7 has that feature. I'm using Vista and I don't have any restore points. I also haven't really used the browser since the history was accidently cleared.
