Hey there. After the last update, Youtube videos started to stress my CPU more than ever. It was always not great, but now it's 90-99%. The plugin container alone takes like 20-30%. 720p videos stutter and the player itself goes to 5-10FPS, 60FPS videos completely lag. My laptop is old but it used to work just fine before the update. 360p vids work fine. As a comparison, YT and flash videos work without any problems on Edge. Firefox stutters with Flash videos, especially streams.

Tried installing h264fy, tried updating all add-ons, tried refreshing and reinstalling Firefox, checking/unchecking hardware acceleration.

Any ideas?

I installed the 48 version, plugin container does not eat up my CPU the way it does with 49, maybe that's the problem? But I wish to avoid using an old version...

No video plays properly in firefox. I have tried disabling webgl and acceleration, but all of them don't help. Moving the mouse while playing helps, but this of course is stupid.

Chrome works. I think I'll try Opera next.
