We have McAfee courtesy of BT Internet, and also use easyfundraising/easysearch toolbar. Periodically (it will happen a lot, then not happen for a few days) when I click on a page link the new site will open and within a few seconds redirect to a Google search for something that I have not requested and couldn't make up if I wanted to; usually it is something like the most recent one: https://s-static.ak.facebook.com/connect/xd_arbiter.php?version=11 in Google's search bar. But I didn't ask for anything like this. The Windows profile on which I am working is heavily restricted because of our children - no Facebook, Youtube or Twitter permitted, as well as other categories blocked. Almost all of these redirections concern Facebook or Twitter. We use both McAfee and authorised Mozilla plug-ins to regulate the access or blocks.
