What version of Thunderbird exactly? When you say a lot. How large is the PST file? More than a couple of hundred folders? More than 4Gb of mail in a folder?

I installed version 31.0.

My pst is about 600MB. I have approximately 90 - 100 folders.

I also have an archive folder that is about 1.9 GB, but I am not trying to import that (I don't think). I could move it out of the Outlook folder if necessary.

TB31 has a major import problem. A fix is in the works and should be out soon, but no ETA. Version 24 should work.

TB 24 is here http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/releases/24.7.0/win32/ pick your language for example en_US for US English and download the executable by clicking on it. Run it after downlading

I downloaded Thunderbird today, but the bug fix evidently has not been put into rel 31.0.

Where can I find a download that has the fix included.

Watch the bug, there will be a commit, which has not occurred yet, at this point there is only a review + to say the patch is Ok. The commit will occur and approximately 24 hours later you can expect to download a daily build with the patch. from here http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/thunderbird/nightly/latest-comm-central/ your looking for Thunderbird-34a1.en_US.win32.installer.exe with a date after the commit.
