Colours on images on sites such as Facebook and flickr appear to be washed out, I have firefox 8, how can I fix this problem?
This problem only seems to occur on my latest version of firefox compared with chrome and internet explorer, I have checked my monitor settings on my laptop but cant find whats causing this.

Does the issue still occur if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode

Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems, make sure that the window is not maximized:
- View > Zoom > Reset (Ctrl+0 (zero); Cmd+0 on Mac)
That can be caused by a problem with the color profile for your display monitor or color profiles embedded in images.
You can disable color management to test that.
You can set the pref gfx.color_management.mode to 0 on the about:config page to disable Color Management.
You need to close and restart Firefox to make the change effective.

Many thanks for your solution, I changed the value on the gfx.color_management.mode to '0' in the about:config page, restarted and now colours are working again.
Thanks for your help
