I have not been able to access my Apple email via Thunderbird since June 15
Thunderbird is saying login failed for server imap.mail.me.com. When I enter the valid Apple password for that email suffix, it fails. I don't know if it's a Thunderbird or an Apple problem. I am a computer idiot and would appreciate any help.

June 15. The day apple implemented mandatory 2 factor authentication. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204915 Contact Apple for support.
I have done the two-factor authentication thing and Tbird still will not accept password.
Did you create an app specific password apple wants your to do?
