What are extensions?
Extensions are Firefox add-ons that provide additional functionality to Firefox.
People all over the world have developed thousands of extensions for Firefox. There are extensions that allow you to block advertisements, download videos from websites, integrate more closely with websites like Facebook or Twitter, and add features you see in other browsers.
How to install extensions
- Click the menu button , click and select .
- To see more information on a Featured Add-on, click it. You can then click the green button to install it.To install a recommended extension, just click the
button.
- You can also search for specific extensions by using the search box at the top. You can then install any extensions you find with the button.
- Firefox will download the requested extension and may ask you to confirm that you want to install it.
- Click if it pops up. Your tabs will be saved and restored after the restart.

Managing extensions
How to change extension settings
Some extensions have settings you can change.
- Click the menu button , click and select .
- Select the extension you want to edit and click the More link.
- Click the button.
- If the button is not available, the extension does not offer settings to change.
- Click on its homepageRight-clickHold down the Control key while you click on it and select to look for documentation.
How to disable or remove extensions
If you select an extension in the Add-ons Manager's Disable or remove Add-ons.
