My previous computer crashed and I have to migrate all information from the previous version of Firefox onto my new computer. I have backup documents and all folders recovered from my previous hard drive but I cannot figure out how to recover my passwords/signons. Can anyone help? (I've already restored my bookmarks.)

I am operating Windows 8.1 on a brand new Lenovo

You would have to restore the logins.json and key3.db files from your old hard drive.

You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)

The "AppData" folder in Windows Vista and later Window 7+ versions and the "Application Data" folder in XP/Win2K are hidden folders.
