Over the last week Firefox has been crashing , for no reason , i will be on a webpage for a few minutes , then the next thing a pop-up says Firefox has crashed , so i send a report , and all is well , then maybe the same day , maybe 2 days later , it crashes again

The only thing that has been changed in my system is a new video card and 2 new games , BUT , they were just installed last night and this morning , so i dont see how this would be any factor with the crashing

Any help would be appreciated , i can't duplicate the issue , so i can't really test because its so random when it happens

Hmm, when I was on Craigslist, the drop-down at the top of that dialog said "Latin" instead of "Other Writing Systems". Firefox will apply one or the other to most pages depending on what character set they specify or your default. Could you try changing it to Latin and then modifying the font sizes there to see whether that works on yours?

These were flagged in the reports;

nvwgf2umx.dll = Dwm.exe = Microsoft Desktop Window Manager

jvm.dll = Java HotSpot(TM) = Java(TM) 2 Platform Standard

Signature js JavaScript

atidxx32.dll = Advanced Micro Devices = Radeon DirectX

See if you can get the current full installers for the above.

OK issue , the AMD one , does not make sense , i now have a NVidea video Card , i just installed it last Saturday night , i uninstalled the AMD/ATI card and its drivers , so i dont get why that is there

I have the Java installed also , so i don't get that one either , the only Java issue i have , is the Java Deployment Toolkit , has a warning that it is known to be vulnerable

What is the Windows Desktop Manager and what would it have to do with Firefox displaying images on the internet incorrectly , web pages looking weird and any Firefox crashes ??

What is the Windows Desktop Manager

It is one of the programs flagged in the report. Why I don't know.

If I change from the default text sizes to these sizes, then I get the problem you're having. (Screen shots attached.) Could you try restoring the defaults in the Fonts dialog? It's probably best to do this while you're on Craigslist so you can see the results.

"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Content > "Advanced" button

If those values are locked and changes can't be saved, there might be a problem in your profile folder or a lock file in your Firefox program folder. Suggestions on how to investigate that if needed.

I just changed it and even went back a page , then went back to the page and its still the same , here is a screen shot of the font size you said i needed to change to , after the change , and you can see in the screen shot , the page in the background after the change , showing the new font size , so it looks the same before and after the change ....... now what ?

Well , that seemed to work , although i believe one of you guys suggested i set the font to that in one of the tries to fix it , but it looks "normal" again , and the images seem to be better

Also it has not crashed in the last few days so that is a plus

Thanks !!
