What was the last version that ran the extension successfully? Was it Firefox 64.0, or an earlier version?

That's an odd message for such a recent extension. This article has the information from when extension signing was first required, but it's quite old now and new extensions shouldn't have this problem: Add-on signing in Firefox.

Is it possible that the file got corrupted? Is there any way to check for updates to that extension, or reinstall it?

Your Webroot Antivirus is completely untouched by the Firefox web browser as no antivirus clients have ever been disabled by Firefox on Windows.

It is the Extension that was installed into Firefox by the Webroot Antivirus as the version of this extension was perhaps not compatible with the Firefox 64.0.x version you have.

Have you checked for webroot updates?

It was working fine until just a few hours ago. IIRC the last update to FF was yesterday?

The Webroot SecureAnywhere program installs the extension to my browsers automatically but isn't doing so atm.

In webroot I opened the settings > Adanced Settings > Firewall / Web Shield and unchecked "activate browser extensions". Doing so uninstalls the extension from firefox but turning it back on is not triggering it to reinstall.

When I did so, it did install it to the other version of firefox (55) I start with with -p profile1 -no-remote but not my current version 64.0.2 that I start with -p profile2.

Neither FF is my default browser, Edge is and there's no issue with that browser.

I do believe getting the extension reinstalled at this time is an issue with webroot but...

It was Firefox that disabled it! Like I said, I got rid of chrome when google decided they knew better than I what extensions I should use. Now Mozilla is pulling the same crap!

Hi MadeUpName30, is the extension working in Firefox 55?

There was a change in Firefox 62 related to how extensions are packaged: before they could be a group of files in a folder, but in Firefox 62+ they need to be compressed into a .xpi file. Example: Add-on not supported as of Firefox 62?. But that was quite a ways back, so presumably your November 2018 release already addressed that issue.

I figured out how to manually reinstall it ;)

In "C:\ProgramData\WRData\PKG" (a hidden folder) are the actual browser extensions. The folder "FF_WebEx" contains the new webextension for FF. (There's also a folders for chrome and an xpi version for the older FF versions)

You take everything in the "FF_WebEx" folder and stick it in a zip file. The name doesn't matter so long as it's truely a zip format. I use winrar and used the built in low compression zip profile.

You open up firefox, open the add-ons manager page, and just drop the zip file on the page to install it.

It installed fine and is working again so far.
