I'm Prompted for My iCloud Calendar ID and Password every time I Open Thunderbird

Every time I open Thunderbird, I am being prompted to enter my icloud ID and password for the icloud calendar sync function. I enter the credentials and everything seems OK - until I close Thunderbird and then open it again. I am using an app specific password and my correct ID. What is wrong?

Operating System: Windows 11 PC: Dell XPS 8960 64b
