The last two days everytime I receive an e-mail Thunderbird freezes up my computer? Help.

I think Thunderbird did an upgrade and now everytime I get an e-mail everything freezes up and I have to unplug and restart my computer. Any ideas?

I am unable copy to the clipboard. I have had 3 more computer freezes today when using Thunderbird. It always freezes up when I go to receive e-mails. They come into my in-box and the program freezes right after

Start Thunderbird offline. Start /run: Thunderbird -offline

Or in safe mode offline Start /run: Thunderbird -safe-mode -offline

Then you can copy to clipboard

You copied to the clipboard in offline mode I assume. Does safe mode do anything different in online mode?

What anti virus are you using?

If I go to start Thunderbird and try to get messages it will always freeze up and I need to restart my computer. If I go to safe mode to get my messages I can receive them. I use Webroot for anti virus. I did a compatibility check with Windows 7 and it says I have a compaibility problem with Thunderbird.
