It makes no difference to the fact all settings and data are stored in your profile and the uninstaller does not touch these things. Program settings and emails are kept in a user profile, which is separate from the program installation. However, you are encouraged to make a backup copy of your profile folder with Thunderbird closed prior to removing and then reinstalling Thunderbird.
