have same video on 2 sites. Firefox plays it from only 1 of these sites
both files appear the same [wmv]. Chrome can play both files. On firefox, it downloads and momentarily shows the video cover.

URL to that video on both websites?
Here are the shortened urls for the 2 video files. http://1drv.ms/1CRJLX6 https://goo.gl/j9wFOy
No problem here with either website - One Drive and my-pCloud. I was able to run them both - as far as when Keith Oberman appeared reading the book. I shut both down at that point - I hate that pompous clown - was OK as a sports announcer but too bombastic for my taste as a "news" commenter. And the voice at the beginning of that video reminded me of Donald Trump; another pompous clown. LOL
Try clearing your cache. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-clear-firefox-cache
clearing cache did not help.
Make sure that you have enabled the Flash plugin and check the status via the Lego block icon at the left end of location/address bar.
You can inspect and manage permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab via these steps:
- Click the "Site Identity Button" (globe/padlock) on the location/address bar
- Click "More Information" to open "Tools > Page Info" with the Security tab selected
- Go to the Permissions tab (Tools > Page Info > Permissions) to check the permissions for the domain in the currently selected tab
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Cleared cache, checked out site id button, installed adobe flash, updated java, ran in safe mode - no luck! I have same file on pcloud.com - this plays fine. Cannot play video from onedrive.com.
The saga continues. I installed latest adobe flash player and reinstalled firefox. Tried to play a youtube and got this message. [no problem with chrome]
This video is unavailable.
Adobe Flash Player or an HTML5 supported browser is required for video playback.
Get the latest Flash Player

Yet, another media problem with firefox and not with chrome: when I go to NPR and choose to play the streema, it doesn't! The error message says I need a plugin. Downloading their plugin, wmpfirefoxplugin, doesn't help.
Firefox needs the Plugin version of Flash - any chance you installed the ActiveX version (for IE)? BTW, Chrome uses their own Pepper version of Flash.

you can see from its name the version I used: wmpfirefoxplugin.
That's Windows Media Player - different than Adobe Flash.
agree, I also installed the adobe flash player
