Are you talking about a '''POP''' or '''IMAP''' mail account ? If this is an IMAP account: Logon to webmail account via a browser, what is the name of the default folder in that webmail account that receives all deleted emails? Delete an email in the webmail account to see where it goes - you can always move it back. Does it currently contain any emails ? If yes, do not empty that folder. You need to ensure you are actually using that server 'Trash' or 'Deleted Items' or whatever the server calls that folder. In 'Account Settings' >'Server Settings' for the account Select 'Move it to this folder' and choose the correct folder name which the server uses on the imap account' Also : Do you compact folders on a regular basis ?
