I am using Windows 10, my wifes computer on same Comcast connection is running Windows 7, both using Thunderbird with same email address. At times in the morning her pc receives messages received overnight, none of them are on my pc.

Now I am confused. In your question you use the term PC where Thunderbird can run. Now you say iPhone where this has nothing to do with Thunderbird since it does not run on phones or tablets.

Using POP and checking message on multiple devices you will have to tell the email client on whatever device you are using to leave the messages on the server. The default operation for POP is to download the message and remove from the email server. When the next device checks for message there are none. You will also have to get in the habit of going to the server and cleaning up messages since you will run out of space.

IMAP email works better for using multiple devices since it is server based and you remotely view messages on your devices. I use Comcast as my provider also and up until recently they only offered POP. I hear they are rolling out IMAP so you might check in your area.

Sorry I confused you. This only happens occasionally overnight, (Both pc's are left on). All the devices are set to leave messages on the server. I mentioned the iphones because they are devices also downloading messages from the server, not to imply they are using Thunderbird. Thanks for your interest and help. I am going to talk to Comcast.
