I am looking for a way to synchronise my Thunderbird Tasks across two different computers. Anyone any suggestions?
Synchronising my calendar is easy, because I put all of my events in a Google calendar which Thunderbird on my two computers synchronises with. But it does not seem possible to do this with tasks. I have tried using Google Tasks without success (but may be I have not done it correctly?). I thought about the possibility of putting the Thunderbird Home calendar (where all tasks are currently stored) in my OneDrive folder and seeing if that allowed synchronisation. Anyone any suggestions?

Try using the provider for google calendar. Whilst I prefer the standards bases caldav, the add-on allows Lightning to read and write events and tasks to a Google Calendar.

Brilliant. This works. I had tried this in the past but the Google calendar and Provider for did not seem to allow me to synchronise tasks. This time I noticed another option during the setup procedure in Thunderbird for Tasks, and this is what I needed to select. Maybe I missed this in the past or this has been included in an update to Provider, which I had not noticed.
Anyway, major thanks to Matt.
how did you do this? Where can I set-up Tasks to be synchronized with my google calendar? by default when I create a task it goes to my "home" calendar. but this does not always sync with my google calendar. I have to manual select "my list" in the calendar drop down of the task to have it show up in google. I cant find anywhere in Thunderbird to change setting specific to tasks or change the default calendar for tasks.
