why do my emails dissappear from my in box. I have warned all my freinds off this software as the emails where all work related.GRR
My email box has everything in it when it is closed. All is good for a while then on no set timeframe I open my email and the inbox is emptied. The emails are not in the deleted folder or anywhere I can find. Very bad result for me.

Are you looking for support or just venting. because you have offered Zero information on which anyone could offer you support.
But here are some generic responses that cover missing/disappearing email. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Disappearing_mail the first three common issues really do account for most cases of disappearing email with the exception of those that have mail disappearing because another device is deleting it, like their phone. usually an IMAP account on Thunderbird, which is the default and a pop account on the other device.

That is not venting , it is an enquiry as to why my emails vanish when I do nothing except close the program. I was very happy with this program until it started doing this. I have checked all setting and all accounts are set the same but only my main account empties on random occasions.
Cheers

But still no information. Have you worked through the many causes of what you are saying? Most of which arise from use actions, not program faults. Cheers.
I have gone through the various fixes both on the link you pointed out which I already had done before you answered as well as other sites. Same problem as other people have and seems to be an issue for them as well. As far as information goes, as I have said all settings are as per fixes and where before. It only effects one account, my main account for work, so I have switched it to windows mail which overall I don't like as much as Complete mail until this happened at least. At least Windows was able to get all of the emails back.
Cheers

Another who has been sucked into purchasing free software. I suggest you contact the ACCC and ask for a refund.
I am not sure what free software I have purchased. That statement does not make sense. Matt you are probably a nice person but you are making assumptions that you really need to think about first. All I have done is ask for a fix or guide to a fix. I found that myself and have addressed the issue.
I have not been "suckered" into any free software and by description how could it be free if I had paid for it. As I said you are probably a nice person but for some reason have taken issue to this.
I support Mozilla and donate to them and am not sure why you have what seems to be an attitude towards me. I don't know if you have anything to do with Mozilla but it is because of their good name that I tried for the fix here.
Anyway Cheers and I do wish you the best. Thank you for the link earlier even though it was the one I had tried.

Complete mail and the rest of complete office (libreOffice) that is sold through Harvey Norman is a collection of open source software that is free as in beer to download. That you have the package says you paid for it. They do not give it away. That you have handed over hard earned dollars for something that you did not need to is not an assumption.
I warn anyone with complete office that they have been ripped off.
It seems that we have veered off on this conversation, let's get back on topic and resolve the matter with cooperation from both parties if possible...
Thank you Andrew and I agree 100%. I have had the issue fixed and seems it was a problem with my internet provider and settings that had been changed on an update and not the program.
I appreciate the service Mozilla usually give and some of my friends and I do support Mozilla with donations.
Cheers and thanks Andrew
