This feature is experimental and is being introduced to the Firefox user base through a progressive rollout. It may not yet be available to all users.
Firefox allows you to customize your Firefox New Tab page with a selection of wallpapers, from sleek solid colors to artistic abstract designs and captivating photographs, giving your browser a fresh look that suits your style.
You can personalize your Firefox New Tab page by adding one of the available wallpapers. Follow these steps:
- In the top right corner of the New Tab page, click the gear icon.
- In the customization panel, under the Wallpapers section, you will see different categories like Solid colors, Abstract and Photographs.
- Click on the category you prefer. For example, selecting Abstract will show a variety of abstract designs.
- Click on a wallpaper from the selected category to preview it. The wallpaper will be applied immediately as you select it.
- For example, if you choose a wallpaper from the Abstract category, it will be displayed as the background on your New Tab page.
- After selecting your desired wallpaper, at the top of the panel, click next to the wallpaper category name to return to the customization panel.
- Click to close the panel.
Now, whenever you open a new tab, your selected wallpaper will be displayed, giving your Firefox a personalized touch.
Reset wallpaper to default
To reset to your default background on the New Tab page:
- In the top right corner of the New Tab page, click the gear icon.
- In the customization panel, under the Wallpapers section, click Reset to Default.
- Click the button at the top right to exit the customization panel.
