I have four Thunderbird system tray icons
OS: Windows 10 home with latest updates Thunderbird: 52.1.1 (32-bit)
When I start Thunderbird, four icons appear in the icon tray at screen lower right. Clicking the first icon opens Tbird with my gmail account displayed. Clicking the second opens Tbird with one of my two hotmail accounts displayed. The third icon opens the same view as the second. The fourth opens Tbird with the other hotmail account displayed.
This is not a fatal problem; It's just crowding my icon tray. Hiding them is not the solution. I want just one icon. Anyone else experincing this, and found a solution?
I'm using MinimizeToTray revived (MinTrayR) 1.3.2 by Nils Maier. Also using Minimize On Start and Close 1.3.2.1 by Fredrik Savje. I'm sure these two are involved.
Other extensions: Add-on Update Checker Always HTML Contact Tabs Encrypt if possible gContactSync Google Calendar Tab Google Search for Thunderbird Lightning Manually sort folders Provider for Google Calendar quickFilters Slim Add-ons Manager McAfee Anti-Spam Thunderbird Extension (disabled)

Thanks for your response. Yes, I realize it has to do with the addons. That is why I posted under the topic, "Customize controls, options and addons". I came here because I don't have the means to debug Thunderbird or its addons myself, and therefore am not able to "figure out which one". My thinking was that someone else may have encountered this and found a solution, or that the addon authors would step in and take up the discussion.
As it turns out, at least one other post deals with this issue: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1161291
...wherein firemandaddy says, "When I launch Thunderbird it open 3 separate windows even keeps 3 windows when it is minimized it keeps 3 icons in the task bar."
Yes, that is the same issue I have. Happily, firemandaddy got an answer. In case anybody's looking, here it is, compliments of Bruce A. Johnson:
Press the ALT or F10 key to show the menu bar, then: For the additional windows use File: Close (NOT Quit, but Close) For the last window use File: Quit Open Thunderbird, there should only be one window now.
This worked for me, and opening Thunderbird again, it did not re-occur. I want to note that this makes me doubt the instruction to requesters under "Forum Rules and Guidelines" which says, "Do not re-use existing threads started by others, even if they are seemingly on the same subject. Ask a new question instead."

Yes, this is almost certainly caused by one of the addons. You'll need to figure out which one
